Coming Home!!

Friday morning we brought Jacob home. We were happy to be out of the hospital room and in our own home. Couldn't seem to get a picture of him with his eyes opened. Guess we need to bring the camera out in the middle of the night, that is when he seems the most awake.

Jacob Ezekiel Evans

Last night at 11:08 PM Stephanie gave birth to our new baby boy. He weighed in at 8 lbs 1.5 oz. and measured 20 inches long. He is a healthy baby and mom is doing great as well! The "Ezekiel Evans" part of his name was decided early on, but with this child we struggled a bit more to find just the right name. On the way to the hosptial there were really only two names we were debating between (well at least that's what I was thinking about, Stephanie had other things on her mind), but neither of them were Jacob. Once we were admitted to a hospital room the name Jacob, which we had debated about a bit before, came very clear to my mind and never left. So far (about 16 hours into his mortal existence) Jacob has been extremely content and calm. We hope that holds true for the next years!

For the Baby Book........

Don't think I am crazy but I ran a 5K this weekend, one week before my due date. This 5K is part of the Auburn Family week that has been going on in Auburn the last 4 years. Our family particularly loves to participate because it has a race for everyone. Zeke and I both ran the race and he placed 1st in his division, I placed 2nd in my division and all three kids participated in the kids races. The day was very wet and rainy, but the fun was had by all!

Rainy pregnant picture-beautiful! However, this one for sure will go in the baby book!
Even our ward missionaries came and ran the race.

When Zeke and I finished the race we were a bit concerned because we couldn't find Landon. Zeke ran off to look for him and found that he had ran/walked the whole 5K. Zeke finished the final lap with him and Landon keeps telling me that he ran so much more than me because he ran the kids race and the 5K. We are proud of his ambition!

Underneath the "Popcorn Tree"

After enjoying the blogs of family members and friends we have joined the club! Here is the first of the Evans Heaven's post (title heading picked by Zeke, it's what we are hoping for but not quite there). This week is the due date of our fouth child, we are anxiously and nervously awaiting his arrival, but since he will pretty much be the star of our blog after he gets here, we thought we would post some picture of our other kids and us before he takes over.
After a rainy Saturday our family enjoyed a nice Sunday afternoon walk. We (mostly Stephanie) can't get enough of all the blossoms. Wish they would last all spring!
