Fall is for Football
Football in the fall is a big deal to some of the members of our family and cheering for the Aggies, Huskies and Broncos takes some effort!
We thought it might be hard to live in Utah county and be Aggie fans so I was a little nervous sending my younger two to school in these shirts on the annual BYU/USU game, but come to find out they were not the only ones at their school cheering for the Aggies.
Lifetime Friends!
It was wonderful having a visit from a good friend of mine and her daughter over General Conference weekend. Tracy and Brinkley are good friends from WA who moved to AZ last year. They stayed over at our house while they attended a session together. It was great to catch up with them compare notes about moving, eat and laugh together. Our family truly enjoyed their visit.
It's also be great to get reacquainted with some of my favorite college buddies. Cheryl (a former roommate) and Kathy (the first friend I made at USU). Kathy and I had completely lost contact with one another and Cheryl got us in contact with one another. We all live in a short distance from one another, so we decided to have regular girls night outs. This picture was taken from our first night out. We had such a great time out together we could have stayed out all night.
It is wonderful to have lifetime friends!
Great weather!
October brought some nice weather.

Gardener Village!
We spent an afternoon visiting this fun Utah halloween village.
Lydia and Jacob loved the witch scavenger hunt. It was a perfect fall afternoon.
Haunted Factory
One Friday evening Zeke and I did something we had not done since our college years. We went to a Haunted Factory! Dan and Johana went too, and it we exciting because Johana had never been to one before. We waited in line for about 45 minutes while cast members would come and try and scare us. Once we were in, this haunted factory in SLC was an hour long scary experience. Zeke lead the way and I think I about ripped his arm off (or he says twisted his arm to death). About 1/2 through he made Dan lead the way and it was fun to follow behind them. We screamed and had a great time. Hopefully it's not 16 years before we go again:)
Fall Hikes!
With the sun shining the cooler air and the beautiful fall leaves we only wanted to be outside.
One Saturday we spent hanging out with the Findlaysa. We spent that Saturday hiking before attending baptism for a second cousin of ours. On our hike we found this fun car. The kids loved exploring this abandoned car.

Kitchen Helper
Starting at a new school can have it's ups and downs. My kids have learned that no two school will ever do everything the same. Our conversations on the way to school have sometimes been spent talking about the differences. I always tell my kids, there are great things about your old school and there are great things about your new school.... they are just different.
One of the differences the whole lunch eating process. There is a cafeteria at the new school. At first Lydia wasn't so thrilled about eating in a cafeteria. She was use to eating at her desk in her classroom.
(a cafeteria can be hard when you are the new kid) She has since warmed up to the idea and loves eating with friends in the cafeteria. During the month of October Lydia's class was in charge of being the kitchen helper. Lydia loved being the kitchen help! She could tell that not to many in her class liked it, so she would volunteer to take their jobs on her days off.
Mason's concerts
Mason joined the school districts Philharmonic this year. The Philharmonic is for grades 9-12 grade for four high schools. Mason is one of the youngest musicians in the Philharmonic. He attends a practice every Monday for 2 hours. He had his first concert and it was very enjoyable. Mason looked sharp in his bow tie and suit coat, and we are so proud of him and all the work he puts forth playing the violin.
Mason also had a fun school orchestra concert. For this concert all the kids got to wear their Halloween costumes. Mason is a huge Dr. Who fan so he was the "Doctor". He planned his outfit all by himself and looked pretty good. It was fun to see all the Jr. High kids costumes. We got a kick out of Mason's friend Joseph costume, he was Winnie the Pooh.
Halloween
The kids were excited that they got to wear their halloween costumes to school on Halloween. They were up bright and early getting decked out for the day.
The elementary had Halloween parties. I was able to go and help with Jacob's party and then I left early and went over to Lydia's party as I was in charge of the craft/treat. We made spider cookies:)
After school we went to Dad's office at Novell to trick or treat. The kids and I had only been to the cafeteria so we were all excited to see the new building where dad worked. Novell is bigger than Attachemate so there were many more offices to trick or treat at that we didn't even get to all of them.
That evening we set out to trick or treat the neighborhood we are living at in Spanish Fork.
Landon and Mason wanted to stay home and pass out candy.
One house along the way had very elaborate decorations that they even invited you to go in there back yard and inside their house to see all of the decorations. It was pretty ama
